What Snagit is
TechSmith’s Snagit says “screenshots are just the start.” It runs on Windows and on macOS 15, 26 and 27. Video recording includes camera, microphone and system audio, cursor highlights and click animation, cursor smoothing, trimming and GIFs from video. Its image tools include scrolling capture, a step tool, templates, OCR and Smart Redact, which blurs emails, phone and card numbers in images and analyses locally. Step Capture “turns your clicks into a shareable guide.”

Does ScreenRecordii take screenshots?
It can copy any frame of a recording as an image, but it isn’t a screenshot tool. Use the Mac’s Shift-Command-4 or a tool like Snagit or CleanShot X.
