Compared with Scribe
A Scribe alternative that makes the video too
Scribe turns your clicks into a written guide in the browser. ScreenRecordii records a video and writes the guide from it, on your Mac.
In short
Scribe captures clicks and keystrokes, mostly through a Chrome or Edge extension, and turns them into an annotated, shareable guide, with team workspaces, links, embeds and exports. ScreenRecordii is a Mac video recorder that can also write a step-by-step guide from the recording: one marked-up screenshot per click, with what you said, as Markdown, a web page or a PDF, plus the polished video. Pick Scribe for documenting browser workflows across a team; pick ScreenRecordii when you want the video and the guide from one take.

What Scribe is
Scribe, now at scribe.com, says “the best teams & AI agents run on Scribe” and “automatically capture how work gets done.” It captures clicks, navigation and keyboard input with an annotated screenshot for each step, and generates titles and steps with AI. The browser extensions are free; the desktop app for Mac and Windows is on Pro and Enterprise plans. Guides are shared by link and embed, with PDF, HTML, Markdown, Word and Confluence export on paid plans. It doesn’t record or edit video.
