AI, when you ask

An AI screen recorder that asks first

Two buttons use AI: one places zooms, one writes chapters, a title and a summary. Everything else, including captions and finding secrets on screen, runs on your Mac.

In short

ScreenRecordii has two optional AI features. AI magic looks at sampled frames and the timing of clicks, scrolls and shortcuts, and places zooms. AI chapters writes chapters, a title, a summary and picks a thumbnail from your transcript and clicks. Both use your own API key, kept in your Mac’s Keychain, ask before they first send anything, and never send what you typed. Captions and the secrets scan use the Mac’s own on-device recognition.

Without an AI key, everything except those two buttons works the same, and chapters can still be suggested from pauses in the recording.

Questions

Do I need an AI key to use ScreenRecordii?

No. Recording, automatic zooms, captions, the secrets scan and every export work without one.

Is typed text ever sent?

No. AI magic sends the timing of shortcuts, never the characters you typed.

Where is my key stored?

In your Mac’s Keychain, not in projects or files.
